George Bush would never had attacked Irak, if he had taken Von Clausewitz's arguments seriously: there was no perspective of winning the war. In Syria today, it is not even clear who the enemy is. Starting a war on moral (or even emotional) grounds only, is - following this theory - an absurdity. Super cheap and original language edition. Can't beat this edition if you read German and want to re Clausewitz in his own words. It is good.
Clear and readable for people like myself with limited German and a strong desire to deepen their knowledge of one f the great military-political thinkers of all time. His various writings illuminate the NApoleonic Wars as no other.
